Julio Bashmore - Battle For Middle You
This tune is an absolute fruit smoothie of genres and tickles me inexplicably for a reason I can't quite put my finger on. Having remixes tunes by the world famous Claude Vonstroke, Bristol's Julio Bashmore is no stranger to music for making love to. He incoporates this tune as part of the 'Everyone Needs a Theme Tune' EP which includes some interesting tracks, none of which stand out as much as Battle for Middle You accept 'The Horn that Time Forgot'. This tune has an almost Jimmy Edgar Detroit (that'll be the only mention of that word on this blog, I promise) feel to it and, taken down a few octaves, would make for a right sleezy number.

FEED ME’S BIG ADVENTURE
If you’ve still got a Christmas cheque lying around from that long lost Auntie who insists on being called ‘Aunt,’ despite being no relation to you whatsoever, then consider spending it on this cracking new release from Feed Me.
His blinding 8 track EP entitled ‘Feed Me’s Big Adventure’ has shot straight into the Beatport top ten and deservedly so. Whilst the whole release boasts a certain consistency in sound and style, measures of genre are twisted and discarded resulting in an electronic work that is truly a bit of a masterpiece.
As a treat you can download the track Jodie for free and you’ll find the whole EP right here exclusively on Beatport.
