ESKMO
San Francisco based electronic music producer Eskmo has been making waves this year and has recently released the video to 'We Got More'. Eskmo's tunes are unusual taking elements from electronic hip hop and dubstep to breakbeat, with none of his style sticking to the same generic sounds . He's had releases on the massive labels, Warp, Planet Mu and has now signed to the highly respected Ninja Tune Records. With his new release, you can expect to find the trademark choppy melody and live instrumental noises similar to his 'Spor- Knock You Down remix'.
Nice track aside, the video directed by Cyriak Harris is pretty sick. It's got a trippy Inception vibe crossed with choppy edits that works with the music.. like a dream, within a dream, within a..
Good to see an actual music video that pushes the more experimental elements, hopefully creative videos will reflect the super back to the future forward thinking scene that's kicking off now.
The director's website says "Hello, I am Cyriak from 100 years into the future, where I have been exhumed and sent backwards in time via cyberspace in order to welcome you to the unabridged contents of my brain-damaged imagination." He's based near Brighton and his illustrations are sick.
